Hi,
This is Gobiraj, from Sri Lanka. I am graduated with a bachelor’s degree specialized in Fisheries Science at the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

Since December 2017, I started my career as a marine researcher with Blue Resources Trust (BRT) under the project, “Sri Lanka Shark and Ray Project” on the north, east and north-west coasts of Sri Lanka. I have over 20 months of experience in conducting elasmobranch fishery surveys around Sri Lanka and working as a field researcher as collecting baseline data of elasmobranchs.

I am very interested in study QGIS to improve my knowledge and I hope this knowledge will help in my research work to support better conservation of Sri Lankan sharks and rays.
