I am a conservationist currently working as a Giraffe Data Assistant with the Zambia Carnivore Programme, where I support the long term monitoring of giraffe populations across the Luangwa Valley. My primary role involves conducting photographic ground-based giraffe surveys, a method that allows the team to track individual animals, document demographic trends and assess changes in population structure overtime.
Through my fieldwork I have developed a strong interest in wildlife monitoring methods especially techniques that can provide reliable estimates where detection varies across habitat, time and survey conditions.
