Hi all. My goal is to be able to map my data that I obtain during fieldwork, as well as analyse it in QGIS to enable me to make informed decisions in my work
Hi,
I want to be able to download files from different sources to create a map of my region that has different layers for streets/roads, towns, parks, vegetation, watersheds and biogeoclimatic zones. Hope that is not too ambitious.
My goal, as a beginner, is to learn the basics of GIS in the next 4 weeks in order to expand my career skills.
My goals for this course are learning to Import my field observations into QGIS, as well as elaborate maps for my investigations.
My goal is to gain a basic understanding of how QGIS works what functionalities are available in QGIS, so that I can use it regularly and learn more from it in the future
I have no previous GIS experience, so my goal really is just to learn the general basics of how to use QGIS, but I hope that taking the course I can understand if I could achieve a more specific goal I can think of, i. e. creating a map of the distribution of the sponge species I studied during my PhD using data that are available online.
Hi everyone,
My goal is to understand QGIS and its functioning. How does the attribute table help edit maps, feed-in large data & how to make a representation using secondary data?
Hi Everyone,
I have previously done species range/distribution fieldwork and I would like to know how to incorporate my data from that fieldwork into a map. I would like to become more familiar with GIS so that I can use it comfortably. GIS skills are obviously super helpful in the ecological job sector, and Iβd like to be able to confidently say that I am familiar with GIS.
My goal is to leave the course refreshed of the smaller details I might have forgotten within working with GIS software and learn new tricks as well. I have never used QGIS before so I hope to leave being well versed in itβs operations.
Hi All,
My objective of this training is to learn how to develop a map project fully from a scratch. However there are certain important things I would like to learn for example how to interpolate and extrapolate in GIS.
My goal is to grasp concepts needed , to start my own projects .
My GIS learning goals are as follows:
-
Understand GIS lingo and how GIS can be applied
-
Apply GIS with my own personal data sets
-
Receive a certificate in this free course so that I may use it as a skill on my resume and apply it within my field
My learning goal is to understand the basics of GIS and be able to layer environmental data with observations.
my major goal for this is to learn as much as possible, hopefully this could help me to up my game and continue to strive in conservation field.
Refresh GIS knowledge. Make basic Maps showing the animal movement data we work with. Hopefully be able to import data from multiple sources - kml/gpx/csv formats.
I am hoping to gain a basic understanding of GIS that I can hopefully apply to my own data in future.
My goal is to be able to create maps of my study sites using QGIS and be able to transfere data because I am currently working on my research that focuses on fire and species composition.
My goal is to be able to create informative and useful maps that can be used for decision-making and reflect current knowledge on interest species.
My learning goal is to learn how to use GIS to create maps and to do anaylsis.
Hello, as an early career researcher, my main goal for learning QGIS is to be able to use it in the future as a tool for displaying, organizing, and processing the geographic information that I will obtain in my researches.
