The message of my map is to show the distribution of wildlife in forest vs non-forested area.
I have two primary thoughts about the message I would like for a map to tell. The first is to display reservoir water quality data to a non-scientific audience in a way that they can easily determine the “health” of one site to another. The other map I would like to produce is one that can depict prescribed fire effects (burn intensity vs damage) between different management areas.
I would like to show the multiple sampling sites where ground to the different animals in my future research in collecting data samples together with their control sites
The message in my map is to show the movement range of the lizards within their home range through my map. Furthermore, we will be able to see the type of vegetation and habitat preference for thermoregulation.
On the map I would like to create I want to send a message to the client about the presence of the common Swift in a neighbourhood and the exact location since this prevents the client to build or renovate.
I’d like my map to show locational human wildlife conflict data, represented according to species and type of depredation, within the wider context of landscape and geographic features. I’d also like to use GIS to help analyse features in relation to HWC, such as distances from homesteads, water resources etc.
To perhaps show the distribution of Lappet faced vulture nests on a ranch in relation to vegetation characteristics.
I want to show in my map that the different soil type prevails on the surface in my district.
Eventually I will like to show ocelot movement patterns overlaid with vegetation data, landscape features (roads, farms, hills etc) and recovered scat samples. I will like to learn to integrate my maps in applications like SMART software that enables tracking in real time by utilizing information from multiple sources.
Other people are aiming to make similar maps for other species.
I can learn how to help people interact with or utilize the map according to their priorities and combine it with data from other species to understand ecological interactions and management options.
Hello
Through my map. I would like to show the wetlands site that are available in my study area.
I want a map that can show human wildlife conflict hotspots by plotting number of incidents by locations.
I would like to display information about Balanites aegyptiaca species that is threatened in semi arid eastern part of Uganda. Information I would like to display on map includes density of tree and patches in different locations along the wildlife corridor between Bokora- Pian Upe game reserve and Kidepo National Park.
Though I do not have the data to present this map as of yet, in the future I would like to be able to communicate the relationship between pervious/impervious surfaces and stormwater runoff volume/pollutant types. I would also like to differentiate between natural and man-made pervious/impervious surfaces and how those differ as well. Finally, land use, soil types and ground cover types would be another interesting layer to add when looking at contributions to stormwater runoff volume and pollutants. A map displaying this data would clearly identify the areas in our communities most affected by runoff and pollution and where efforts should be focused to minimize impacts to the environment, like implementing green infrastructure incentives or constructing wetlands.
I would like to create a map which represents sea turtle foraging and nesting distribution areas in the Gulf of Venezuela, beside adding locations of critical points related with anthropogenic threatments, such as oil refineries and tankers, illegal extraction ports, artisanal fisheries, etc
I want to show the sites where my seagrass was sampled and perhaps the waterways that flow into the estuaries of my sampling sites.
I will like to create a map showing showing final camera locations of the Camera survey in Mount Cameroon.
My map will show the distribution of coral reef around the islands.
Layers will be
Exact name and location of coral community, biomass and coverage.
To show all the sites that are monitored and those which are not yet monitored
When you are done with it.please let me know so that we can share ideas since our project seems to be same to some extent bro
I want a map that shows the location of Wildlife protected areas in the Caraga region, Philippines
I would like to show the extensive sand mining location on a landscape having prominent green turtle and olive ridley turtle nesting sites.
